Data Diode Use Cases

VADO LOG TRANSFER ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain appliance log transfer allows secure transfer of any type of log.

The logs are transferred from external folders located outside of the secured network, to any folder or log collector located on the secured network. Logs located on remote servers can also be transferred using Syslog or other options. There is no limit on the transferred log type and size, and the transferred logs can be filtered using third-party filtering tools.

The system offers to archive and log options that enable precise documentation of log transfer, including the log name, time of transfer, source folder etc.
Once logs are sent from an external folder to an internal one, it can be either erased or kept in the source folder (this option is set up during system installation).
The system can be installed on any Windows system.

SMTP TRANSFER ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain SMTP transfer allows secure transfer of SMTP.  The SMTP is transferred from an external unsecured server to an internal secured server.

Once SMTP is sent from an external server to the internal one, it is possible to receive the mail in a plain and simple secured way. since the system is one way, no mail will go the other way around, meaning, no mail can be sent over this one-way connection.

The system can be installed on any Windows system.

FILES ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain file transfer allows secure transfer of any type of file or folder, including emails, software updating files, FTP etc.  The files are transferred from external folders located outside of the secured network, to personal user folders located on the secured network that mirror the external folders structure.

Files located on remote servers can also be transferred using CIFS. There is no limit on the transferred file's type and size, but the transferred files can be filtered using third-party filtering tools. The system offers to archive and log options that enable precise documentation of file transfer, including the file's name, time of transfer, source folder etc.

Once data is sent from an external folder to an internal one, it can be either erased or kept on the source folder (this option is set up during system installation).

The system can be installed on any Windows system.

FTP ONE WAY

VADO One Way© FTP Secure Cross-Domain allows secure unidirectional FTP transfer of any type of file or folder from unsecured to secured networks.

The TX send-only unit outside the secured system functions as an FTP server. It receives files from various networks and delivers them through a single-fiber unidirectional optical channel to the RX receiver on the secured network side, which functions as an FTP client. The process is completely automatic; the TX's FTP server constantly monitors delivery of new files. Once new files are detected, they are automatically transferred to the RX receiver client, which forwards them to their destinations in the secured network.

The single-fiber unidirectional optical channel ensures that no data can be transferred in the opposite direction.
There is no limit on the transferred file's type and size, but the transferred files can be filtered using third party filtering tools. The system offers to archive and log options that enable precise documentation of file transfer, including the file's name, time of transfer, source folder etc.

The system can be installed on any Windows system,

REMOTE SCREEN VIEW ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain appliance Remote Screen View, securely transfer screens from a secured network to a non-secured network using the VADO One Way Data Diode.

The Remote Screen View captures screens from the secured network every few seconds/minutes, saves it as a sequence file(dd/mm/yyyy), and the VADO system safely transfers the files as they are created, to the non-secure network. no hacker can enter the secured network, allowing technicians and other personnel to view screens from the secured network on the non-secured one.

VADO TIBCO EMS ONE WAY

EMS Monitor enables TIBCO users to continually assess and analyze the health and performance of their EMS infrastructure, gain early warning of issues with historical context, and effectively plan for the capacity of their EMS Servers.

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain appliance TIBCO EMS allows secure transfer of MQ messages from a non-secure network to a secure network. Massages are transfers via the VADO One Way Data Diode to the secured network, allowing the reception of messages in the secure network.

VADO SQL REPLICATION ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain appliance SQL Replication allows secure transfer of data between tow

SQL databases. The SQL Replication transfers information from an internal DB located in the LAN to an external SQL DB located in a non-secure network.

Once data is written to the internal SQL DB it is replicated via VADO One Way Data Diode to the external DB.

The system can be installed on any Windows system.

VADO TIME SYNC - NTP ONE WAY

VADO One Way© Secure Cross-Domain appliance Network Time Protocol allows secure transfer of NTP to detached networks.  Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a networking protocol for clock synchronization between computer systems from two disconnected networks.

VADO WSUS UPDATER ONE WAY

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)  enables system administrators to manage the distribution of updates and hotfixes released for Microsoft products to computers in a corporate environment. WSUS downloads these updates from the Microsoft Update website and then distributes them to computers on a network.

VADO One Way© WSUS Updater addresses the problem of downloading and distributing these updates on a secured network that is physically disconnected from the internet.
It does it by using two WSUS servers; one on the insecure side of the network that downloads and collects the updates in the same way any WSUS server does. Once the updates are downloaded, they are transferred to a second WSUS server on the secured side via the VADO One Way© TX send-only unit and an RX receive only unit, connected through a single-fiber unidirectional optical channel.

The "red" WSUS server on the secure side then distributes the updates and hotfixes to Microsoft products on computers in the secured environment. The single-fiber unidirectional optical channel ensures that no data can be transferred in the opposite direction.

VADO ANTIVIRUS UPDATER ONE WAY

All anti-virus software relies on frequent updates of the virus signature dictionary and database, which is the only way to ensure optimum protection from newly released computer viruses and malware. Secured "red" networks are no exception – they too are protected by anti-virus software that must be updated regularly.

VADO One Way© Anti-Virus Updater addresses the problem of downloading and getting the anti-virus updates onto a secured network that is physically disconnected from the internet.

VADO One Way© Anti-Virus Updater downloads antivirus updates from the internet, and then transfers them to an anti-virus update server on the secured side via the VADO One Way© TX send-only unit and an RX receive only unit, connected through a single-fiber unidirectional optical channel.
The anti-virus update server on the secure side then distributes the updates to computers on the secured "red" network. The single-fiber unidirectional optical channel ensures that no data can be transferred in the opposite direction.
